Alumni Participation
Alumni Programs
Like aftercare, alumni participation is an ongoing process that many patients are engaged in for years after leaving our treatment facility. During alumni participation, former patients maintain relationships with others who have stayed sober after treatment. Shri Gks Nasha Mukti Kendra (rehab center) maintain their own alumni participation programs. The members help each other to stay sober by motivating through experience and also helps in recovery coaching to the addicts who struggling through addiction.
Our Rehab Programs.
Activities that Shri Gks rehab Centre programs participate in include:
- Checkups/follow up so that they remain careful.
- Facebook groups, certainly for keeping each other motivated.
- Annual gatherings.
- Volunteering so to spread awareness against drug/alcohol abuse.
- Movie nights, restaurant visits, arts and crafts work shops etc.
The Benefits of Such Rehab Programs
Social events not only encourage social support but also keep members in positive spirits. As members discuss sobriety experiences that is to say they compare the life of past to present life. As a result they become positive to stay sober. Being part of a group allows participants to rebuild their sense of identity as a social being. They gain insight on the transition into home life, and provide updates and insights to others. Participants can also learn about and access new programs and organizations.
Different activities have different benefits. Events like community-based activities like volunteering can instill gratitude and present-moment awareness in individuals.
Members often share their experience through blogs and article that we publish on our portal.
